We Made It! Praising God.

Hey parents, grandparents, and friends,

The Detroit Team has arrived safely. Praise God! We are very blessed to be able to stay at Woodside Bible Church in Warren, MI. The facility is perfect for what we need and it even has a gym for us to play in(dodgeball has been the game of choice).

My prayer leading up to this trip has been that God would work through us and in us. Well, I am immediately seeing the, ‘in us’ part of that. Tonight we spent a lot of our time preparing for the VBS we will be putting on at the end of the week. We were practicing our worship songs for that and students kept asking to sing more worship songs. So the band kept playing. We worshipped as a team. This wasn’t a scheduled time of worship. It was spontaneous, authentic, and rich. Students didn’t have to sing, but they did. They didn’t have to worship, but they did. God didn’t have to answer my prayer, but He is. If this is how He answers it after day one, I am excited to experience the ways in which He answers during the rest of our trip.
